Terms of Service — Albassara | البصارة

1. What this app is

Albassara | البصارة is a private ritual companion for: - Coffee-cup reading — you take a photo of the cup after your coffee, we read it for you. - Dream interpretation — you write your dream, we interpret it within the Ibn Sirin tradition. - Palm reading (palmistry) — you take guided photos of your palm, and we give you an interpretive reading. - Astrology and the natal chart — you enter your birth date (birth time and place optional), we compute your natal chart and provide an astrology reading and a daily horoscope.

The app is not: - Not a religious ruling (fatwa). We work within the Ibn Sirin interpretive tradition; we do not issue religious rulings, and we do not quote scripture as authority. Albassara offers the Ibn Sirin tradition for reflection, not as religious counsel. For the scope of the verified-tradition corpus at invite-only beta and our Tier-2 commitment, see Privacy Policy §7. - Not therapy. If you are in crisis, please contact a qualified professional. - Not medical, financial, or legal advice. - Not a guarantee of the future. All readings — cup, dreams, palmistry, and astrology — are interpretive; they can be right or wrong, and the decision is always yours. Palmistry and astrology are heritage, reflection, and entertainment — not prediction, and not a promise of what will happen.

Optional in-reading rating: Two optional buttons (thumbs-up / thumbs-down) appear beneath each reading, with an optional text field. The rating is entirely optional and distinct from the reporting mechanism. For our full posture on rating + optional-note collection, see Privacy Policy §7.1.

2. Age of use

The app is for adults 18 and older. By using the app, you confirm that you are 18 or older.

If you are younger, please do not use the app.

3. Acceptable use

Your use of Albassara must be personal and non-commercial. You may not:

• Misuse the reading engine by submitting abusive, violent, pornographic, or hate-inciting content.
• Attempt to extract the AI system's internal prompts (system prompt).
• Copy the resulting readings for resale or commercial republication.
• Use automated tools (scripts, bots) to consume the app.
• Attempt to bypass usage limits or payment.

We reserve the right to suspend sessions that violate these terms — while preserving the anonymity principle (we don't know who you are; we only know that a session is violating).

4. Subscriptions and payments (Tier 2)

In Tier 1 (invite-only beta), the app is fully free — no payments.

At Tier 2 (paid public launch):

• Payments are processed via Apple App Store (StoreKit) or Google Play Billing — they are the Merchant of Record.
• Albassara never sees your credit card.
• Auto-renewal is on by default per Apple/Google rules — you can cancel from your account settings in the store.
• Refunds are handled by Apple / Google per their policies — we are not the refunding party.
• Price changes are communicated at least 30 days in advance (per EU consumer law in the Tier-2 EU market).
• No weekly subscriptions — monthly or yearly only.

5. Intellectual property

• The trademark, copy, design, and system-prompt system — owned by Albassara.
• Readings generated for a specific session — belong to that session. You have full right to save them on your device and share them with whomever you choose.
• We do not own your dream or your cup — we process them with your consent, then delete per the retention schedule in the privacy policy.

6. Limitation of liability

• Reading content is interpretive. We do our best to make it honest and high-quality, but we cannot guarantee its accuracy as a prophecy. Do not make life decisions (divorce, investment, medical treatment, migration) on the basis of a reading alone.
• The app is "as is". We do not guarantee it is free of defects or always available.
• Limits on warranty and liability follow the law of the country from which you use the app, and will not exceed what you have paid (in Tier 2) over the previous 12 months.
• This app is not a substitute for professionals (doctors, therapists, religious scholars, financial advisors, lawyers).

7. Disputes and governing law

• The app is operated by Soliest studio - F.Z.E, a Free Zone Establishment registered in the United Arab Emirates.
• Governing law: the applicable laws of the United Arab Emirates, with the courts of the Emirate of Ajman / Ajman Free Zone as the venue. We'll always try first to communicate in good faith to reach a resolution.
• EU consumer rights (for EU users): you have the right to bring your complaint before the courts of your country of residence regardless of what this section says.

8. Changes to these terms

• If we change anything material in these terms, we'll notify inside the app on next launch — at least 30 days in advance in Tier 2.
• Continued use of the app after the update means acceptance of the new terms.
• Document version + last-updated date always at the top.
